Gavin Gourmet Granola



My Young Womens class made this yummy granola the other night and it is so yummy. With Granola you can really add whatever you want. It is kind of like trail mix. Which reminds me that I need to get my SIL Jenny's yummy trail mix recipe.

Ingredients:
6 c. rolled oats
1 C. coconut
1 C.chopped walnuts
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. melted butter ( one cube)
1/2 c. honey

Stir together in a large baking pan or cookie sheet the first 5 ingredients.
Drizzle the melted butter and honey over the top and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring often so the coconut dosen't brown too much. After removing from oven, stir as it cools to prevent clumping. Can add sliced almonds, dried cranberries, raisins, sunflower or pumpkin seeds etc etc. Store in an air tight containter. Yields one gallon. Enjoy over yogurt, with milk or just plain. Enjoy!
