Roast Beef Dip by Joanna



French Dip Sandwich

1 French or sourdough loaf
1/2 lb roast beef or London broil (sandwich slices)
1/2 white or yellow onion, chopped
1 cup mini Portabella mushrooms. chopped
Provolone and Mozzarella cheese, sliced (can also add baby swiss)
Miracle Whip (you could probably use Mayonnaise if you want)
1 packet Au Jus sauce (you can just find this at the store - it comes as a dry powder that you mix with water)

Saute the mushrooms and onions separately in a little butter. Cut open the loaf of bread and spread miracle whip on both sides. Layer on one side the onions, mushrooms, and cheeses. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Layer the meat on the other side. Leave the sandwich open and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted. Fold sandwich together and cut.
